Douglas E. Ede
Partner

Douglas E. Ede is a Partner in the Firm's Miami office and a member of the Business & Commercial Litigation Department. His practice concentrates on representing business entities and individuals in a variety of matters including commercial litigation, labor, administrative and municipal actions and commercial transactions.  Mr. Ede has tried dozens of jury and non-jury cases to verdict in both state and federal courts and has written and argued appeals before the First, Third and Fourth District Courts of Appeal.

Mr. Ede is AV® rated by Martindale-Hubbell demonstrating that he has achieved the highest levels of professional excellence and integrity.  Mr. Ede serves as an expert witness in attorney’s fee disputes and has testified in fee hearings in contract and garnishment litigation.

 

Mr. Ede dedicates himself to the service of others and the community.  He serves as General Counsel to Florida International Magazine and Cathedral of St. George. His civic service includes membership on the Board of Directors for YMCA of Greater Miami, Board of Directors for South Dade YMCA and Board of Directors for St. George Church and is past Chairman of the Board of South Dade YMCA. In his spare time, he coaches youth sports teams in a variety of leagues throughout Miami-Dade County, Florida.
